Help provides services to people affected by rape, sexual abuse and family violence. We work with:

  • Women
  • Men
  • Adolescents
  • Children
  • Family/whanau
  • Friends

Help provides

HELP’s social workers also offers additional support services during office hours, including:

  • information and support about reporting rape or sexual abuse to the police.
  • in-person support with a social worker
  • information and support:
    • for parents who have a child that has been harmed in a sexual way by another child
    • for parents who have a child that has been sexually abused by an adult
    • for someone concerned about someone else’s sexual behaviour
  • court preparation and support
  • advocacy and support with other agencies
  • access to resources and alternative support such as recommended books and websites.
  • a library of useful and inspirational books and resources for existing clients

Presentations and workshops: Please contact Help if you would like someone to come and either speak about our services or provide specific training in relation to Sexual Abuse or Rape. All training would be designed to accommodate the needs of your group/organisation.
